Homeward Bound Spay Neuter Hospital
Hi, my name is Amy and I have worked in the veterinarian field for over 10 years. I started my career working as a veterinarian assistant for the Phoenix Zoo. After a few years of experience there, I transitioned my career to small animal medicine. Although I have a love for all animals, my true passion is for our feline and canine friends! I have loved and cared for animals my entire life and look forward to meeting your furry family members at Homeward Bound!
Hello! My name is Kris Hyams and I too am a member of Hope for Cats. Rescue work has been a devotion of mine for years. I have worked in the human medical field for over 20 years. I am eager to transition over to veterinarian medicine and am excited to be a receptionist for Homeward Bound Spay Neuter Hospital! When I am not too busy showing my grandchildren the ropes of rescue work, I enjoy spending time in my garden.
Hello my name is Samantha Hernandez and I am the Hospital Manager for Homeward Bound. I am also the CEO of Hope for Cats, which is a non profit rescue I founded in 2000. I am very active in the rescue community and support other local rescues. "Trap, neuter, release", fostering, and managing adoptions have always been a passion for me. I have been working as a veterinarian technican since 2002. I also enjoy spending my free time outside hiking and camping in the beautiful Arizona desert.
Hi my name is Laura Sundal and I am the Hospital Administrator for Homeward Bound. I am an Arizona native that started my career as a veterinarian assistant in 2006 at a small animal hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. After college, I relocated back to Arizona and continued my career and education as a full service veterinarian assistant. My interests include water skiing, horseback riding, rescue work and medicine. I love to spend time with my husband, children and five rescue pets ; Bowzer and Spirit, Tux, Tina and Pirate.
I have had a love for animals as early as I can remember and I realized I wanted to be a veterinarian at the age of 10. I attended Colorado State University receiving my BS in Bio-Agricultural Science in 1982 and my D.V.M. in 1986. I have worked as a veterinarian in Arizona for over 22 years, 14 of which were in full service medicine. I currently live with 4 parrots, 3 cats, 6 dogs, 4 tortoises, 3 chickens, 6 horses and my sheep. I truly enjoy surgery and firmly believe that spaying and neutering makes for a healthier pet. I hope to help many more pets in my career and look forward to meeting your much loved pets here at Homeward Bound Spay Neuter Hospital.
